Housing Resources for Master in Health Care Management Students
Please note that the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health is located in Boston, in the Longwood Medical Area. The closest MBTA stop is the “Brigham Circle” stop, which is on E-line of the MBTA’s Green line (www.mbta.com ). We encourage the use of public transportation as there are no parking facilities at the school; however, the many local hospitals have parking garages that some students like to use. The Children’s Hospital garage is the closest, followed by the Brigham’s.
Students are responsible for their own housing during the program. Here are some general guidelines and suggestions:
The Harvard Chan School does not provide business support services to students; if you anticipate a need to send and receive FedEx packages be sure to choose a hotel than can provide those services for you. All students have access to a public fax machine, located in the Harvard Chan Microlab.
Boston’s hotel rates vary considerably by season. September and May rates are often high, with January and March much lower. It is possible to negotiate very favorable rates by emphasizing that the total hotel nights you are requesting include dates in the slow volume months. Ask for the Harvard rate, but be aware that students often receive better deals as individuals than as Harvard affiliates.
Book in advance, especially for September dates and commencement.
