Finding a mental health counselor
A mental health counselor can be a helpful resource for a wide range of mental health needs. If you are a benefits-eligible employee at HSPH, you are likely eligible to receive mental health counseling for about $30 copay per session.
To see a mental health counselor, a referral from your primary care physician is normally not needed, but you may wish to contact your insurance provider to verify this.
Use the following links to find a mental health counselor, depending on your insurance provider:
Harvard University Group Health Plan: https://huhs.harvard.edu/find-clinician (choose ‘behavioral health’)
Blue Cross Blue Shield: https://www.bcbs.com/
(choose ‘find a doctor’, ‘doctors by specialty’, and ‘behavioral health’)
