Integrative statistical approaches for functional prediction of genetic variation
In this talk I will first introduce unsupervised approaches to integrate diverse functional predictors for specific tissues and cell types from the Roadmap Epigenomics Project into a single predictor of tissue-specific functional importance for noncoding genetic variants. I will then discuss various applications of these context-specific functional predictions, such as to infer sharing patterns of functional variants across tissues and to GWAS studies.
