Five HSB students awarded Rose Service Learning Fellowships

Jane Carpenter, Urvashi Pandya, Sitara Mahtani, Hae In Kim and Irene Casey

Five MPH-65 students in the Health & Social Behavior field of study were awarded Rose Service Learning Fellowships to fund their MPH practicum projects this summer. These five students represented the largest block of awardees across the entire school and across all degree types:

  • Jane Carpenter, Cambridge Public Health Department Early Childhood Health Home Visiting Program, Cambridge, MA
  • Irene Casey, Qualitative Research with Children of Parents with a Mental Illness, Australia
  • Hae In Kim, Boston Children’s Hospital Community Needs Assessment/Community Health Improvement Plan, Boston, MA
  • Sitara Mahtani, An Initiative to Expand an Oral Health Screening Program for Cambridge Youth, Cambridge, MA
  • Urvashi Pandya, Understanding the Effectiveness and Impact of Mobile Produce Markets in Eastern Massachusetts Residents and Streamlining Partner Food Bank Data Systems, Boston, MA and Revere, MA
