MPH in Epidemiology

Blending online and on-campus learning for the working professional

The MPH in Epidemiology provides a curriculum that allows students to gain advanced skills in biostatistics and epidemiology as well as other core public health areas. Using a cohort-based model, students will complete this program on a part-time basis over the course of two years. About one third of the coursework is completed on campus and two thirds are completed online. Students begin their program with a mandatory, three-week, intensive course in June, then transitions in online modules for the remaining academic year. For the second year, the following June, students return to campus for another 3 weeks for required coursework and then continue online coursework again from July through May. During their second year, students will simultaneously work on their field practicum.

Students enrolled in the MPH in Epidemiology have access to the same services and resources as any other degree student at the School. Upon graduation, MPH in Epidemiology students will also become a member of the Harvard Alumni Network. The program encourages students to become and feel a part of the Harvard Community whether on campus or online.
