Collin Payne is a senior lecturer of demography at The Australian National University and an Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Researcher. His work centers on the intersection between population ageing and population health, with a focus on understanding the dynamics of chronic health conditions, frailty, and multimorbidity over time and across generations. His methodological research focuses on multistate demography, microsimulation, and decomposition analysis. Payne received his PhD in demography from the University of Pennsylvania, and was previously a Bell Fellow at the Harvard Pop Center.
