Tamara serves as a senior research analyst for the HAALSI Dementia Study (HAALSI-HCAP), focusing on data analysis and the interpretation of cognitive measures and outcomes. She has a special interest in how literacy and education levels influence performance on neurocognitive assessments and the interplay between cognition, sleep, and overall mental health. Before joining HCPDS, Tamara worked for the Baependi Heart Study, exploring the heritability of cognitive domains and their connection to mental and cardiovascular health. She earned her PhD in science from the Institute of Psychiatry at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in sleep sciences at Northwestern University in Chicago. Her BA is in psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology.
