Ahmed Nawwar, MD, is an Egyptian physician currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in global health. Ahmed’s research is dedicated to addressing healthcare disparities and enhancing access to quality care for cancer patients. As an aspiring radiation oncologist, he is hoping to start a global cancer initiative that will provide tailored plans for different health systems to expand their radiation therapy services.
Ahmed’s project, in collaboration with the Alexandria Students’ Scientific Association and the Oncology department at Alexandria University, addresses limited access to radiation therapy in Alexandria, Egypt. The study explores community health beliefs towards radiation therapy, aiming to inform strategies for improvement and contribute insights to policy makers for future investments.
