Alya is a Master of Science student in the Department of Global Health and Population. Her research interests are largely focused on risk and protective factors in early childhood development. Alya has had prior experience in program measurement and evaluation, where she focused on the impact of childcare intervention on executive functioning in Middle Eastern children.
For her project, Alya will be working alongside members of a Nairobi-based NGO on quality improvement initiatives for childcare programming across the organization’s network of childcare centers, with the ultimate goal of improved child developmental outcomes.
