We will be working with a group of 40 midwives to improve emergency birth skills through hands-on skills drill practice with obstetric models and decision tree guides. By providing the tools to learn and practice skills simulation training our goal is that the midwives will be able to continue to practice and improve their skills as well as train other cohorts of midwives in the training model. The skills guide that we are introducing will offer a streamlined approach to common birth emergency response that we hope will improve outcomes over time.
