Arista Jhanjee is an MPH-65 candidate in Health and Social Behavior at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is primarily interested in global health, and is passionate about advancing community approaches to mental healthcare and expanding mental health service access within South Asia. Prior to enrolling in the MPH program, Arista provided administrative, operational, and communications support to various global health organizations and initiatives in San Francisco and Washington D.C.

During her project, Arista will work with Sangath, a mental health non-profit organization based in Goa, India, to support pilot research activities for a field trial that aims to test the implementation of evidence-based, community-oriented strategies for addressing depression in Goa. Arista will also support an organizational project focused on the development of a conceptual model for the links between dating violence and mental health among adolescents across India.
