Christine Kendall

Christine has spent her career focused on issues related to poverty and equity. Christine has the privilege of regularly working with young moms in her role as board chair at Roca. Christine is the CEO of a consulting firm she founded, SmarterGive, where she provides strategic advice to philanthropic donors interested increasing their impact. She speaks and writes about a variety of topics related to social change. Prior to SmarterGive, Christine was a Director at FSG, a social impact consulting company. Christine also worked at LEK Consulting in the life sciences group and in the welfare and poverty group at Child Trends, a think tank focused on child wellbeing. Christine has her BA in economics and history from Colby College, her M.Sc. from the Harvard School of Public Health and is currently in the third year of her of the DrPH program at HSPH. She is also the proud mom of three amazing children.

Christine’s project aims to spotlight the incredible power of motherhood as a force for good and wonderment in the lives of women (and their children) who have suffered repeated profound past trauma as the result of extreme poverty.
