Erin McGuinness

Erin is a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) student and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She has devoted her career to community mental health issues, with a particular emphasis on trauma and suicide. Most recently, Erin worked at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in southern New Mexico as a Clinical Supervisor over multiple programs serving all ages, with a particular emphasis on individuals with severe mental illness (SMI). Prior to this, Erin was the Director of Prevention and Outreach at the DC Children’s Advocacy Center where she developed and implemented community interventions for child sexual abuse prevention.

Erin’s project is in collaboration with the JCK Clinic and Kabale University. The focus will be evaluating the JCK Clinic mental health outreach program from the patient and caregiver perspective.
