Kaitlin is a Master of Public Health student in the Health & Social Behavior program, with a concentration in Public Health Leadership. She has spent the past few years working in pediatric oncology clinical research, and she is interested in the intersection between social determinants of health and cancer control. At HSPH, she has also been involved in a research project examining the impacts of COVID-19 in Massachusetts schools, with a health equity lens.
Kaitlin will be working with the Boston Public Health Commission to implement a lung cancer communication strategy and launch a new initiative focused on colorectal cancer. The project goals are to use culturally appropriate, community-facing messaging to create agency and change behavior, resulting in more residents choosing to engage in cancer early detection and management activities.
