Medha Iyer

Rose Service Learning Fellow

Medha is a Master of Science student in the Global Health and Populations department. Medha has previous experience in health & benefits consulting and served as a 5th grade teacher in south Dallas through AmeriCorps prior to starting graduate school. Throughout her first year at Harvard, Medha has been a graduate research assistant at the Center on the Developing Child, working alongside the Aspen Institute to determine opportunity gaps for incorporating early childhood development in the public health and education sectors to revolutionize climate action efforts. Her research interests are in the intersections between maternal & child health, education, art, and design thinking to inform health policies for systems transformation.

For her project, Medha will be working alongside members of a Brazilian-based non-profit organization and family health units in Rio de Janeiro and Recife to empower women and children to utilize primary health care services.
