Muriel is a MPH Nutrition student with concentrations in Nutrition & Global Health & Health Communications. She is an adaptive leader & health strategist focused on innovative solutions within public health nutrition & an interest in using behavioral economics & mindfulness to change health-behavior & automate health-supportive habits in populations. She has work experience in the African & North American region emphasizing community-derived interventions collaborating using local brilliance, practices, traditions & resources to design solutions for effective & sustained results. Her project focuses on translating the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet for a West African-Sierra Leonean-audience. She will engage with, learn from & collaborate with community stakeholders. The deliverables will include physical & digital practical guides circulated via media & in person-as needed- throughout different communities in Sierra Leone.
