Naana is a Master of Public Health student in Health Policy. She is a physician from Ghana, West Africa, where she provided care for patients with Sickle Cell Disease and cancers of the blood. Her interest is in global oncology with an emphasis on addressing cancer treatment inequities.
Naana’s project focuses on addressing disparities in cancer care among minority groups in Boston by creating a culturally appropriate, community-facing precision communication model that will affect behavior and create agency, resulting in more residents choosing to engage in cancer early detection and management activities.
