Teguo Djoyum

Teguo Is the founder of the Global Organization of Health Education (GOHE); GOHE supports local Neuro technologists and physicians by training them on testing procedures to diagnose epilepsy. Teguo has worked as a Neurodiagnostic Technologist for the University of Colorado for a decade. Teguo served on the Board of Trustees of ASET – The Neurodiagnostic Society between 2018 and 2021, and he is an ASET 2022 Class of Fellows (FASET). The highest designation of the neurodiagnostic field in the USA. Teguo is the neurodiagnostic lead on the Harvard Medical school Glogal neurosurgery task force.  Teguo is a second-year Doctoral candidate; his areas of interest include bringing neurodiagnostic services to underserved regions globally. He is also interested in using EEG brain data to predict neurodevelopmental conditions and monitor brain development over time. 

Teguo’s project focuses on understanding the stigma associated with epilepsy in Accra, Ghana, both from the health providers’ perspectives and the patients. He will attempt to bring the two communities together to provide neurological diagnoses and treatment options to improve the lives of patients with epilepsy.
