Student Practica Research Presentations

Students, faculty and staff gathered for an informal research presentation organized by SBS Student Government Representative, Nina Schrager, MPH ’16. The presentations were focused on students’ summer practica projects from five different sites.

Kristen Nishimi, MPH ’16 presented Developmental Timing of Trauma Exposure and Depressive and PTSD Symptoms in Adulthood, a project in collaboration with Dr. Erin Dunn, SD ’11, at The Dunn Lab at MGH. Jackie Jahn, MPH ’16 presented Product Reformulation After New Competitive Food Law in Massachusetts Schools, a project in collaboration with Drs. Juliana Cohen and Eric Rimm. Cindy Lin, MPH ’16 presented Impact Evaluation of a Rural Community Development Model in Villapuram, Tamil Nadu, India a project with FXB Center for Health and Human Rights. Leeann Siegel, MPH ’16 presented Evaluation of a Health Education Text Messaging Intervention for Homeless Individuals with Diabetes and/or Depression a project with BHCHP. Emily Lisker presented Capacity and Gaps of Behavioral Health Services in San Francisco, California a project in conjunction with the San Francisco Department of Public Health.

The gathering provided an informal setting for community-building as well as being informative and educational.
