Bryn Austin was the lead author of a recent article published by the International Journal of Eating Disorders on unhealthy weight control behaviors in models. The study revealed that 62% of models have been told by their agencies to lose weight before being booked on jobs. Since many models are teens and young adults, these disordered eating behaviors can cause serious harm on growth and development later in life.
