Nancy Krieger interviewed by The New Yorker

Dr. Nancy Krieger, Professor of Social Epidemiology, has been recently interviewed by Isaac Chotiner from The New Yorker in “The Interwoven Threads of Inequality and Health”.

“There are two different kinds of inequities happening here.” says Dr. Krieger when asked about what are reasons why people of color with COVID-19 have higher mortality rates. “One is inequities in health status. The other’s an inequity in health care. And they’re not the same thing—they then collide with each other, and it’s much worse.”
