Nancy Krieger featured in MSN

Dr. Nancy Krieger, Professor of Social Epidemiology, has been recently featured in MSN’s “Saving lives or saving the economy? Reopening doesn’t have to be an all-or-nothing proposition”.

In the article, author Shirley Leung highlights Dr. Krieger and others’ recent working paper about the unequal surge of mortality rates in Massachusetts due to COVID-19. “It’s not just age,” says Krieger when asked about the factors that put people in risk of the coronavirus. “It’s also racial and economic inequities in living and working conditions. It’s both — not either-or.”
