Dr. Mary T. Bassett, François-Xavier Bagnoud Professor of the Practice of Health and Human Rights and Director of the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights, has been recently featured in “So you really want to see your friends? Here’s how to assess the risk” in the Los Angeles Times.
In the article, author Deborah Netburn raises concerns about how people may be lowering their social-distancing standards due to quarantine fatigue. “Regardless of what we tell them [about social-distancing], people will try to rank their risk,” says Dr. Bassett in the article. “Whether outdoor activities are safer than indoor activities, does it make sense to expand the circle of people I see — these are the things people are going to want guidance on.”
