Master of Public Health

Full-time students in an academic year degree program are billed one half of that year’s tuition rate, each in the fall and spring semesters, respectively. Tuition for courses completed in the summer is included in that academic year’s flat rate.

Part-time students in an academic year degree program are billed one quarter of that year’s full-time tuition rate, each in the fall and spring semesters, respectively. Tuition for courses completed in the summer is included in that academic year’s flat rate.

Students that completed the 15-credit PCE program as a non-degree student should refer to the Non-Degree Transfer Credits for additional details on billing structure. 

Students in an academic year degree program who take courses during the summer and then either take a leave during the fall semester, or during the fall and spring, or withdraw from the program will be retroactively assessed tuition for the summer semester. Students who change from an academic year program to a summer-only program after completing courses during the summer will be retroactively assessed tuition for the summer semester.

Students in a summer-focused degree program are billed a flat amount during each summer of enrollment based on one half of that year’s full-time tuition rate over two summers.* Tuition for courses completed in the fall and spring is included in that summer’s flat rate.

Students in a summer-focused degree program who take a leave during the summer and then take courses during the fall or spring semester will be retroactively assessed the summer tuition in the fall or spring semester.

*Students that matriculated in to a summer-focused degree program prior to Summer 2021 will continue to be billed under the old policy of one third of that year’s full-time tuition rate over three summers.

In addition to meeting academic requirements, students must meet the School’s tuition requirements. Students must pay the appropriate amount of tuition to receive a degree. If a student switches between full and part-time status over the course of their degree, they would still need to pay the equivalent. The cost of the degree is the same for full and part-time students.

MPH45: 2 semesters at full-time rate; or 4 semesters at part-time rate
MPH 65: 3 semesters at full-time rate; or 6 semesters at part-time rate
MPH 45 Summer-Focused: 2 summers at 1/2 of the current full-time tuition rate*

*MPH 45 Summer-Focused that matriculated prior to Summer 2021 are billed over 3 summers at 1/3 of the current full-time tuition rate for that program.

Any remaining tuition needed for the tuition requirement will be charged in the semester of your graduation should you complete your program early.

Students in the MPH-GEN program are unable to waive, substitute, or transfer credits into the program and no financial credit will be applied/granted towards the program’s tuition requirement.

Students are expected to complete all required credits within the stated time-to-degree. Time-to-degree begins with the semester a student is enrolled/matriculated. If a student enrolls in required credits beyond the time-to-degree policy, a continuation fee may be assessed at the beginning of each additional semester. Exceptions to assessing the continuation fee will be considered for extenuating circumstances by submitting the General Petition Form.
