Project Spotlight

The Menzies Lab and Brazil's Ministry of Health Collaborate to Evaluate TB Related Policy and Programs

The Menzies Lab and the Department of Global Health and Population, with the leading support of Marcia Castro and Nicolas Menzies, collaborates with Brazil Ministry of Health to investigate the health impact and cost-effectiveness of Tuberculosis-related policy options and control programs in Brazil population. They use mathematical modelling approaches, leveraging national data, to estimate TB trends and evaluate TB care and treatment outcomes across Brazil. Their areas of Brazil TB work include but are not limited to drug-resistant TB, latent TB infection, TB disease burden, as well as TB notification and care cascade. This research received funding from the Lemann Brazil Research Fund.

Pop Center HALLSI Project

A NIA-funded to study the drivers and consequences of HIV and non-communicable diseases in an aging population in Agincourt, South Africa.

Botswana-Harvard AIDS Institute Partnership (BHP)

A collaborative research and training initiative between the Government of Botswana and Harvard established in 1996.

Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health India Research Center

Opened in 2015, the center is designed to facilitate the development of new strategic relationships and build upon existing ones with organizations across India.

Zhu Family Center for Global Cancer Prevention

The center is dedicated to prevention education and research across the cancer continuum, with four primary areas of focus.

Defeating Malaria

The Defeating Malaria Initiative aims to produce, transmit, and translate knowledge to support the control and ultimate eradication of malaria.

Harvard Global Nursing Leadership Program

The Harvard Global Nursing Leadership Program brings a renewed commitment to supporting, educating, and strengthening the nursing and midwifery workforce worldwide.

The International Health Systems Program

IHSP is a multidisciplinary team of faculty, scholars, and experts working to improve health systems in developing countries to improve health and living standards for the poor and disadvantaged.
