Albert Hofman Appointed a Knight of the Order of the Lion of the Netherlands
Congratulations to Department Chair Albert Hofman, who has been named a Knight of the Order of the Lion of the Netherlands in a ceremony on July 26, 2021. The Order of the Lion of the Netherlands is awarded for exceptional service to the community. It is the oldest and highest civilian order of chivalry in the Netherlands. Issa Dahabreh – Winner of the 2021 Rothman Epidemiology Prize

Congratulations to Alaina Bever, a MD-PhD Student in the Cancer Epidemiology track of the Population Health Sciences PhD program. She is a recipient of the Barry R. and Irene Tilenius Bloom Fellowship for 2020-21. In Memoriam: George Seage
On Saturday, January 2, 2021, the Department of Epidemiology lost a great friend and colleague, George R. Seage III, professor of epidemiology. The Harvard Chan School published an in memoriam which covered the span of his remarkable career as a leader in the field of HIV research, along with his incredible legacy of mentoring the next generation of epidemiologists.
