We strive to address health disparities and inequities, and promote equity in all aspects of our work, with the ultimate aim of improving the distribution of health outcomes in various populations.

Mission
Statement

Our mission is to conduct epidemiology research, practice, and education that is grounded in principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion. We are committed to understanding the causal mechanisms and drivers of health disparities and inequities, and to applying epidemiology principles to real-world problems. We recognize that discrimination in any form is a violation of public health and human rights, and we are dedicated to promoting equality for all members of our campus community. We encourage the amplification of diverse voices and perspectives, and we strive to create a culture where all individuals are encouraged to show up as their authentic selves. Through our work, we seek to contribute to a world where health outcomes are more equitable and where everyone has the opportunity to live a healthy life.
