The MPH Program Office, housed in the Office of Education, is also happy to help.  They can be reached at mph@hsph.harvard.edu.

Feel free to also explore the items in the menu (located on the left hand side of this page), under the For Students tab.

Important Dates

If you plan to start your degree program in January 2022:

  • Winter Registration Opens:  Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 11 a.m. ET
  • Spring Registration Opens: Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 11 a.m. ET
  • IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT REGISTERING FOR HPM 245:  This is a required course that all MPH-65 HM students must sign up for.  The Registrar’s Office has been given a list of all of the students within the MPH-65 HM program who will be joining us in January.  This means that these students do not have to apply to be in this course.  Instructions on registering for this course will be made available soon (updated 4.1.21)
  • AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT REGISTRATION HOLDS:  You will notice that there may be a Harvard University Health Services (HUHS) Hold on your account.  Having this hold will prevent you from completing the enrollment process for any course.  This hold will be lifted once Harvard University Health Services receives and processes your immunization forms.  If you have sent in your forms but still see the hold in place, please reach out to HUHS via phone to check the status of your forms.  They can be reached at (617) 495-2055.  As soon as your hold is cleared, you can register for this class.
  • REGISTRATION NOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:  International students might not be able to clear their holds until they are physically at the school.  Please do not worry about HPM 245.  Place this course into your cart on when Winter Registration opens, and once the holds are lifted when you arrive, you will be able to complete the enrollment process.  The Registrar’s Office will be offering special assistance for students in this situation, and so, please do not worry.

MPH-65 HM Cohort Meetings – Please Mark Your Calendars

Each MPH cohort within the Department of Health Policy and Management has separate group meetings with their Field of Study Directors within both the Fall  and Spring semesters.  We have planned these meetings to coincide with important deadlines.  These meetings are designed to give students an opportunity to ask questions, raise common issues, and to visit with the Department of Health Policy and Management’s Academic Program staff and field of study leaders.   Please mark your calendars and plan to attend.  A light lunch will be served.

The meeting dates for your cohort in Summer, Fall and Spring 2022 will be available in the weeks prior.  Please follow the link and update your calendar: https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/health-policy-and-management/mph-hm-and-hp-student-cohort-meeting-schedule/

Summer Practicum Information

As of October 2019, the MPH-65 Health Management program has revised the structure and timing of the required practicum (Applied Practice Experience) for students entering the program in January 2020. These changes reflect new accreditation requirements for the school, while providing students with more flexibility for their field-based experiences, better consistency across fields of study, and increased connection with MPH-65 peers. Incoming students should familiarize themselves with these updated requirements. Depending on student interests, it can be helpful to start thinking about practicum plans in the fall prior to starting the program (see resources).  Students admitted to the MPH-65 HM program for 2022 will follow this same structure (Updated 1.28.21)
