LGBTQ Health Equity Award

The LGBTQ Health Equity Award recognizes the work of students, faculty, post-docs, and/or staff who have demonstrated a commitment to promoting and improving health for LGBTQ people. The award is presented annually during the school’s awards celebration. The winner also receives a $3000 check and a plaque. If a group wins the award, each member of the group will receive a plaque and the $3,000 will be split amongst the awardees.

Eligibility

Students, staff, faculty, post-docs, and other academic appointees from any Harvard Chan department or program can be nominated.

Nomination

Nominations are welcome from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health faculty, staff, and students. Self-nominations are not accepted.

Any member of the Harvard Chan community may submit a nomination through this form based on the eligibility above.

Nominations must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024. There are no extensions.

Nominations should include the following information:

  • A brief statement of why you are nominating the person (group of people) and how the nominee has demonstrated a commitment to promoting and improving health for LGBTQ people.
  • Any other information that you think would be helpful to the committee.

Selection

A committee of Harvard Chan faculty and staff selects the LGBTQ Health Equity Award based on nominations.

Recipients of the LGBTQ Health Equity Award will be announced during our graduation award ceremony.
