Daniel Viana is a fisheries scientist working at the intersection of marine conservation and public health. He is currently a postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health examining the global implications of marine protected area expansion for human health and nutrition. Daniel’s project focuses on developing local capacity to tackle overfishing and malnutrition problems in Southwest Madagascar.

Maggie Weese is a joint Master’s degree student in Public Health and Urban Planning at Harvard University. Prior to coming to Harvard, she worked as a program associate at the SAGE Fund, a collaborative fund working to strengthen human rights accountability for economic actors and address critical gaps in protection created by the global economy.
