Harvard Data Science Animation Contest

Data Science Animation Contest

Have you studied data science in a course or on your own? Are you interested in pushing your visualization skills to create data animations? If so, then you should enter Harvard’s first Data Science Animation Contest!

What: On your own or in a team, illustrate a data science or statistics concept through creating an animation, which you can make with the same tools you used when learning data science.

When: Final submissions are due January 10, 2019, 11:59 PM EST. But Register Now.

Why: This is an opportunity to push both your data science and programming skills with some friendly competition. The first place award is $500 and the two runner-ups will win $250 each. All finalists will also be invited to present their submissions at a cross-Harvard University workshop on data science and applied statistics education in January 2019. All submissions will be made available to the public to benefit from, so your work will be showcased beyond just the Harvard data science community.
