New England Machine Learning Day – Posters Due 4/26

The seventh annual New England Machine Learning Day will be Friday, May 10 2019, 10am-5pm, at Northeastern University (Interdisciplinary Science & Engineering Complex, ISEC — 805 Columbus Ave, Boston, MA 02120). Like previous years, NEML 2019 will bring together local academics and researchers in machine learning and its applications. There will be a lively poster session during lunch, followed by a provocative panel.

Poster Submission: The deadline for submitting posters is April 26. Please encourage your students and postdocs to present their work by submitting a poster abstract via nemlposter2019@gmail.com. Space is limited, so we apologize if we cannot accept all submissions. If we have too many applications, we will prioritize diversity in authors, areas, and institutions as well as submission time (earlier is better).

Registration: Please register at https://www.eiseverywhere.com/ereg/newreg.php?eventid=418984& if you expect to attend for the day, to help plan for food and seating. If registration exceeds capacity, priority will be given to students, faculty, and those who have registered earliest.

Agenda:

The agenda is available on the website, and will continue to be updated. Confirmed speakers include: Caroline Uhler (MIT), Issa Dahabreh (Brown), Nicole Immorlica (MSR), Flavio du Pin Calmon (Harvard), Jan-Willem van de Meent (Northeastern), Ellie Pavlick (Brown), Francesco Orabona (Boston University)

There will be a panel moderated by Carla Brodley (Northeastern) with panelists TBD.
