The Department virtually welcomed the 2021 cohort of the Summer Program in Biostatistics and Computational Biology this morning!
Seventeen undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students will spend the next 6 weeks learning about the use of quantitative methods for biological, environmental, and medical research alongside Harvard faculty and graduate student mentors. Working on a variety of research projects over the course of the program, students will present their work at “Pipelines Into Biostatistics”, the culminating symposium on July 15th.
We’ll be featuring profiles on each of these students over the next few weeks, but in the meantime you can learn more about this diverse group of participants– including their educational backgrounds, goals for the program, and plans for the future.
