Ellen Considine Named Review Editor for National Climate Assessment

Ellen Considine

Congratulation to PhD student Ellen Considine who been selected to serve as a review editor for the Western Wildfires section of the National Climate Assessment, which is produced approximately every five years. The Assessment summarizes the impacts of climate change on the United States, now and in the future. A team of more than 300 experts guided by a 60-member Federal Advisory Committee produces the report, which is extensively reviewed by the public and experts, including federal agencies and a panel of the National Academy of Sciences. Ellen’s role will involve managing the author teams’ responses and revisions to comments from the public and peer reviews between December and February of this year. She will participate in author team meetings during those months and attend a 2.5-day authors’ conference in DC at the beginning of April.
