The StatStart program concluded last week with 10 high school students presenting the research they worked on during the 4-week intensive summer program. The following topics were included in the presentations: Dose Finding Algorithm, Computer Vision and Machine Learning, Replicating SIR model with Networks, Kings County Dataset (Linear Regression), and Law of Large Numbers. Dr. Marcello Pagano started the day off with Welcome Remarks and Dr. John Quackenbush concluded the event with some personal anecdotes.
The program would like to thank all the graduate student volunteers who made it possible for the program to be held virtually this year.
