The 31st New England Statistics Symposium

In 2014, the Department hosted the 28th New England Statistics Symposium (NESS). This year, the meeting will be hosted by the Department of Statistics at the University of Connecticut on Saturday, April 22, 2017.

The purpose of the meeting is to bring together statisticians from all over New England to a central location to share research, discuss emerging issues in the field, and network with colleagues. Keynote Speakers this year will include Department Chair Xihong Lin and David Madigan of Columbia University. The meeting will also include three full-day short courses on mixed-effect models using the Julia Language, practical integrative statistical learning, and subgroup analysis and treatment scoring with application in precision medicine.

We encourage submissions of proposals to invited sessions and encourage students to apply for student awards. See this link for more information on submission guidelines and selection criteria.
