The Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health has deployed wireless access points to all floors and buildings. Wireless connectivity is available to Harvard staff, faculty, students, alumni, invited guests and visitors to campus.
For members of the Harvard Community
As a member of the Harvard community, you should have a HarvardKey username and password. You will need this credential for any of the connection options detailed below.
For devices capable of secure wireless access, typically your laptop or mobile device, we highly recommend that you connect to a secure wireless network. Your options include the “Harvard Secure” wireless network, the preferred option when on-campus, or the “eduroam” wireless network. The “eduroam” network is a secure, worldwide Wi-Fi roaming for the research and education community – HarvardKey holders may access “eduroam” wireless networks at participating educational and research institutions around the world.
Connecting to “Harvard Secure”
This access method utilizes the industry’s latest encryption and authentication standards to provide a secure wireless connection using your HarvardKey. This connection method is preferred and recommended for all personnel and students who deal with sensitive or secure information.
Connecting to “eduroam”
eduroam (education roaming) is the secure worldwide federated network access service developed for the international research and education community. This link will pre-configure wireless devices for seamless wireless access when visiting eduroam member institutions.
