New Career Development Series

The Department is excited to launch a new Career Development Series to help postdoctoral fellows and students prepare for successful careers. Invited speakers will include faculty, alumni, and leaders in biostatistics, computational biology, and data science. These lunch talks are open to all members of the biostatistics community and will provide students and post-docs with professional skills training, leadership coaching, networking opportunities, and perspective on career paths post graduate school.

The first session will hosted by Greg Levin, a lead mathematical statistician at the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research at the FDA, on Sept. 21st from 12-1:30PM in Room 426.  Mark your calendar.  Brent and Xihong  would like to encourage postdocs and students to attend. Stay tuned for more information about Greg’s talk and other session announcements!

If you know someone who is local and would be interested in speaking in this series, or you would like to recommend a speaker or a topic, please email Tonia Smith
