Associate Professor Sebastien Haneuse and doctoral candidate Sarah Anoke will be traveling to Chicago this month to speak at Statfest, a one day conference aimed at encouraging undergraduate students from historically underrepresented groups to consider careers and graduate studies in the statistical sciences. Statfest is sponsored by the American Statistical Association. Sebastien and Sarah will be representing the Department of Biostatistics on two panels in order to generate increased awareness of biostatistics among quantitatively inclined undergraduate students. In addition to sharing information about our PhD and masters programs, they will be spreading awareness of the Summer Program in Biostatistics and Computational Biology.
