Himel Mallick, PhD is a recipient of the 2016 AMS-Simons travel grant by the American Mathematical Society and the Simons Foundation. Sixty awards were given in 2016 to early career mathematicians with $2,000 per year for two years to be used for research-related travel. There is also a possibility of a one-year extension at a later date. Himel is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Himel will be mentored by Dr. Curtis Huttenhower during the period of the grant. Congratulations!
