Karen Bandeen-Roche, Chair of the Biostatistics Department at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, received the 20th annual Marvin Zelen Leadership Award in Statistical Science at the School last Thursday.
It was a joy hosting Karen and attending her interesting lecture on creating the perfect environment for encouraging great science. The talk aimed to highlight the importance of latent variables behind the understanding of statistical activity to begin a conversation on diagnosing, influencing and tracking our organizations’ and field’s health in future years.
After her lecture and receiving the award, Karen is joined by Thelma Zelen, Rich Gelber, and Xihong Lin.
