Celebrating Jim Ware

As many of you know, a symposium in celebration of Jim Ware’s life and career was held on Friday, April 29, featuring tributes from nine of Ware’s colleagues and friends.  The live stream of the event was recorded for future viewing.

At the start of the symposium a video was played that featured highlights from a series of conversations between Ware and colleagues at the School. A link to that highlight video can be found on our YouTube channel.

Speakers at the symposium included Harvey Fineberg (by video), Barry Bloom, Dave DeMets, Xihong Lin, Jeffrey Drazen, Frank Speizer, David Hunter, Nan Laird, Victor DeGruttola, and Howard Koh.  Some of their thoughts on Jim are included in this article.

Howard Koh also concluded the symposium with a moving rendition of the song “Unforgettable” which he dedicated to Jim.
