The department was extremely honored to host alumna Dr. Judith Goldberg last Thursday as she accepted the 2016 Lagakos Distinguished Alumni Award and presented a lecture on “Statistics in Biomedical Research: Experiences from the Past and Perspectives for the Future.”
Dr. Goldberg completed her dissertation under the direction of Dr. Margaret Drolette in 1972. She has been a Professor of Biostatistics at New York University School of Medicine since 1999.
We appreciated the opportunity to honor Dr. Goldberg and to remember the lasting impact Dr. Stephen Lagakos had on the Department and the field of biostatistics.
