We are pleased to report a very successful first year for the Biostatistics Student Consulting Center (BSCC)! The BSCC is a free student-to-student statistical consulting service that opened in Fall 2016. It is staffed by doctoral students in the Department of Biostatistics and is open to students at HSPH and Harvard Integrated Life Sciences programs for statistical questions that arise outside of coursework.
BSCC’s first year by the numbers:
20 biostat student consultants
114 completed cases (and counting!)
95.3% of clients were satisfied or very satisfied with the service
97.7% of clients would return to the BSCC with a future inquiry
