The Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center’s annual Celebration of Junior Investigators is fast approaching, and the application submission deadline has been extended until tomorrow, October 11th. Please consider submitting an application if you meet the eligibility criteria, or pass this along to your colleagues and trainees.
This upcoming half-day symposium highlights the talent of junior investigators at Dana Farber/Harvard Cancer Center (DF/HCC) who are producing important research in several areas of population science, including epidemiology, biostatistics, outcomes, diversity, and survivorship. A primary aim of this symposium is to build opportunities for collaboration for junior investigators and provide a forum for new interactions and projects.
Only students, postdocs, instructors, and clinical fellows may submit abstracts, which should be 250 words or less in length. Please visit the DF/HCC Celebration of Junior Investigators website for more details and to submit an application. A selection committee will choose some abstracts to be presented as a short oral presentation (TED-style talk) or a poster; decisions will be announced by October 23rd. If you are not eligible to present, please encourage junior investigators in your labs to submit an abstract and consider RSVP’ing to attend the event on November 6th.
Anyone who is involved with population science cancer research across DF/HCC member institutions is invited to RSVP to attend, or apply to present a talk/poster if eligible, to this event that will include a plenary speaker, short oral presentations, poster sessions, and a reception.
