The inaugural Harvard-Pfizer conference Mathematical Modeling and Healthcare Applications

Researchers from academia including Harvard, McGill, MIT, the pharmaceutical and biotech industry including AstraZeneca, Evidera, Merck, Merrimack, Mitra, Novartis, Pfizer, Vertex, etc., and the clinic including Brigham Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital and others will share their vision for the role of applied mathematics and systems pharmacology in drug discovery, drug development, and therapy optimization.
Relevant methodologies and tools including PBPK, PDM, QSP, PK/PD, systems modeling, pharmacometrics, computational structural biology, bioinformatics, pharmacoeconomics, and data analysis/processing approaches will be discussed in the context of cardiovascular, metabolic and neurological disorders, cancer and immunology, and infectious diseases.
A unique opportunity for students, postdocs, and early-career scientists to establish and expand their scientific networks, and for researchers in academia, healthcare professionals, and pharmaceutical industry scientists to forge new scientific collaborations within the Boston area healthcare and mathematical modeling communities.
