Zack McCaw Receives NIH F31 Research Award

Zachary McCaw’s F31 application entitled Innovations in Genome Wide Association (GWA) Testing Inspired by Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) Phenotypes was recently selected for funding by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). The proposal aims at developing robust statistical methods for genetic association studies, and at leveraging surrogates of a partially missing clinical outcome to improve inference. These methods are being applied to integrative analyses of data from epidemiological cohorts and the UK biobank. Zachary is advised by Xihong Lin, and the proposal is motivated by collaborative work with Susan Redline. Congratulations, Zack!
