McGoldrick / Arise Program Update

McGoldrick ARISE Program

The McGoldrick Professional Development Program in Public Health, in collaboration with the Africa Research, Implementation Science, and Education (ARISE) Network hosted the workshop “Advancing quantitative methods for health in sub-Saharan Africa” from March 19-20, with representation from 12 countries during the online meeting. The workshop resulted in sharing curriculum from masters programs under development by seven programs, identifying courses and beginning curriculum development for three courses to be supported by the network, the drafting of objectives for funding opportunities, and connecting a network of faculty in SSA who will collaborate on future education endeavors. This year the program also introduced a new collaborator, “PedaL”, to strengthen the pedagogical aspects of course training.
