Health Data Science master’s student Yi-Ting Tsai was named one of the Summer 2022 Harvard Data Science Initiative (HDSI) Public Service Data Science Graduate Fellows! During this internship, Tsai will gain experience applying responsible data science to address social challenges at not-for-profit and public sector organizations. While working on her master’s, Tsai has applied her skillset to build and evaluate prediction models for maternal health problems in Zanzibar. During the summer, she will continue working with D-tree International and the Zanzibar Ministry of Health (ZMOH) to transform maternal healthcare in Zanzibar by integrating prediction algorithms within a digital health system.
