Xihong Lin elected to National Academy of Sciences

A huge congratulations to Professor Xihong Lin who was elected as a new member of the National Academy of Sciences. Considered one of the highest honors in science, members are selected in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research.  Dr. Lin was one of 120 new members elected to the academy this year. To see the full list, see the academy’s recent press release.This award is a highlight among a long list of achievements and accolades for Dr. Lin for her research in genomics and outreach related  to COVID-19.  As a member of our department, we are extraordinarily proud of Xihong and her accomplishments. But most of all, we are proud of all the hard work that she has done to advance understanding of human disease, and to contribute to improving the health and well-being of people here in the US and around the world.
